As part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades, we will be replacing the legacy Christmas Island TLD registry system over the period March 10th through March 15th.
While we normally endeavor to make these upgrades as transparent as possible, this particular change is being made in conjunction with a move to a biometric co-location facility in Sydney Australia. This upgrade represents substantive improvement in the security systems and registrar tools. The changes are important and will result in improved stability of the CX ccTLD infrastructure and systems.
How do these upgrades impact me ?
* CX ccTLD registry systems will be offline to registrars for up to 36hours.
* Additions, modifications or deletions to the registry by your registrar will not be possible during this time.
* A grace period of 14 days will be added to expiring domains.
* Registrars have committed to having their web sites operating with full functionality by 15 March.
